First Round Fireworks

It is on. Most of my friends hate the NBA and so probably won’t read this post. But I watch the playoffs each year, and it is from this tradition that I have developed a strong dislike for the San Antonio Sterns. Yes, I know their name is actually the Spurs, but if there was ever a franchise in more need of a name change, it is this team who has almost forged a dynasty over the last few years thanks, in part, to favorable handling from NBA commissioner David Stern and the his crooked crew of “officials.”

Most of the times, the Phoenix Suns have been on the other side of that coin. For example, the Suns were the better team last season but were ushered out of the series with the Spurs by Stern’s awful interpretation of a lame rule and by an official who is now facing jail time for fixing games.

So this season it is only fitting that the Suns face the Sterns in the post. And they are… in the first round. I hope for a sweep which feature Bruce Bowen getting exposed for the dirty, slimy crook that he is and fouling out of each game and Suns fans throwing fish on the court at Manu Ginobli to celebrate his famous flops which define his game. Capitulation

The day is here, I have finally made the “switch”. I am Gilbert’s newest Mac User (note emphasized importance with caps). This is my first post with my new MacBook Pro and we currently on our honeymoon. In part, I feel lame for fulfilling the cliche of the post-modern, youth pastor, emerging church guy using a Mac and listening to U2, but I get over that feeling fast once I use spaces to check my email while working in CS3.
