Bittersweet Vindication

HT to Sullivan for this nugget. Peter Schiff went on every network news program he could 2 years ago trying to warn people of the EXACT economic crisis we are in today.

No one would listen.

The yahoos at FOX News even laughed at him (3:50). What jerks and what a clear indication of the conservative implosion at hand.

Ben Stein was just DEAD wrong (4:17 and 6:15)… not the first time.

Anyways, Mr. Schiff… you were right.

I hope your “right streak” is over…

Winning the War

In one simple image, America’s soft power has been ratcheted up not a notch, but a logarithm. Remapping the world

The Telegraph, a UK paper, is hosting a project called, “The Atlas of the Real World” on their site. It is basically the map of the world’s nations redrawn with sizes proportional to certain variables (ie nuclear power, emissions decrease, etc). Below is a remap of war deaths from 1945-2002…. can you see the USA?

The danger of dispensationalism

Once again, I have to redirect you to Rundio’s blog. He has a brilliant post about dispensationalism and how it has laid the framework for injustice and dangerous theology. Dispensationalism is the 100 year old way of interpereting biblical eschatology (end times). It is the most popular way of thinking in modern American Christianity and its exploits include the Left Behind series, pre/mid/post tribulation debating, a literal millenium, and other silly things.
